Case Study Based Workshop
on Software Effort Estimation
Function Point Analysis and its Applications, Based on latest release | Date: 22nd Sep. 2012, (1 day) From 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
| | Objectives: | To impart skills in Software Effort Estimation using "Function Point Analysis" as per revised computing manual
| | Pedagogy: | Will consists of Lectures, Exercises, and Workshop sessions to enable participants learn the conceptual base and put the same in practice using near real life case studies.
| Course Contents:
Morning Afternoon | - Introduction and Concepts - Estimation for enhancement projects
- Function Point Analysis (Guidelines as - Determining project delivery rates
per IFPUG) revised latest version
- Function point analysis methodology - Estimation risk analysis
(counting and complexity assessment case studies)
- Workshop case studies
| | Course Material Covers: | Lecture Notes, - Solved Case Studies, Review Exercises, - Documentation Templates, - Useful Websites and books, - Review Exercises, - Case Study Workshop.
| | Who Should Attend? | Project Leaders, System Analyst, Marketing Executives and Users at the Functional level.
| | Facilitator / Faculty Profile: | Mr Ashish Agarwal, PMP ® is B. Tech from IIT Roorkee, Certified Software Estimator, ITIL certified and an expert of managing and delivery large scale projects for domestic as well as international customers globally.
He carries 17 years of rich experience in the field of Project Management and has been associated with leading companies during the last 17 years. He has a diversified experience on delivering large scale IT projects for customers like IBM, ADC Telecommunication, Citibank, HSBC, MGM in India , US , Europe and ASIA. He has commendable practical experience in the area of bidding, software estimation, Program management, Pre-Sales and risk assessment. He is acknowledged expert in the various areas of Software Management and is considered an industry wide expert on managing large scale complex projects around ERP domain. Past ten years he has been conducting corporate training and consultancies in the areas of estimation, business process analysis and project management.
